Chris's work as a writer is focused on destroying the gender binary and representing neurodiversity in genre animation for kids.
They were recently selected as a Finalist for the 2022 Nickelodeon Writers Program.
They spent their formative years in the Midwest, becoming hopelessly lost in corn mazes.

Chris Burke grew up in Normal, IL where they proudly took home the bronze medal in the cub scout pinewood derby each and every year*.
They also spent a lot of time writing stories, for which no medals were ever awarded. In spite of this, Chris is still writing today.
They were selected as one of eleven participants in WIA's Spring 2022 Mentorship Circle with Cassie Soliday, and they were a Finalist in the 2022 Nickelodeon Animation Writers Program.
They currently live in Nashville with their dog, Memaw.
*until a fourth kid joined the troop.
